Since last year, I have enjoyed the daily chit-chat on eHarmony, the biggest of the romance online services. I kept track of my results. I’ve dated three women from eHarmony. I’ve rejected 1575. That’s right, one thousand five hundred seventy five.
Many of them had 2 or more small children and only worked minimum wage jobs with no husband or child support.
Many more were between 35 and 45. Realizing they had been matched up with me - a relatively traditional guy, they were much too aggressive and turned me off. After they did all the playboys around, they wanted me to be the sucker to give them a child and pay child support.
Some were single and unmarried and unattached but had been through a series of bad choices and bad boyfriends.
A few were good women who just lived too far away to make a relationship possible.
Verdict: Good service if only for the entertainment value. You will get dates, but only about 1-2% of the women on eHarmony are good girls, the rest are just party girls who know they are running out of time and don’t want to spend retirement alone.
